Bamboo Elephant Incense Holder

Quality crafted and made from bamboo sawdust and a resin hardener this very cool incense burner has been hand sculpted and placed on a piece of bamboo. The life like Elephant color is also hand painted and has a urethane finish. This product also comes with 2 hard white plastic elephant tusks
Light the incense stick and watch the smoke come out of the Elephant’s mouth. This is a 2 piece item; the bamboo pole with the elephant and the teak wooden base. A unique home décor piece and great for gift!

How your product is made:
After the Bamboo trees are retrieved from the nearby mountain villages they are brought in and cut to its appropriate length, skinned and holes are drilled in the bottom and top. After this time these now tubes undergo a 24 hour liquid fumigation process.
After the tubes have reached a specified required amount of drying time and are dry these bamboo tubes are then sanded down to a smooth finish. Once this is complete these the tubes receive two coats of a nontoxic clear sealant coating.
Following this procedure the Thai artisans hand make the sculpture on the tube in a 6 step process. Which takes approximately 5-7 days as each step requires time to cure.
Once the sculpture has cured and dried, a base color is applied and the painters begin to do their magic with the acrylic paints.One more a nontoxic sealant coating is applied prior to the final urethane finish is applied. These applications not only enhances the quality of the look but also enables the product to be well protected.
The base in which your now ready made Elephant Incense burner sits in is made from reclaimed teak wood that are Hand cut and assembled. These also receive a sanding and finally a urethane finish as well.
